2026 Foot-in-the-Door Competitions – Applications Now Open!

The Foot-in-the-Door Competitions are held annually at the Queenscliff Music Festival as part of our Amplify Queenscliff Youth Program.

These genre-specific, battle-of-the-bands style competitions provide an incredible opportunity for emerging musicians aged 12–25 to perform at the festival, gain valuable live performance experience, and connect with the local music community.

Not eligible for Foot-in-the-Door?

If you're over 25 years of age, or your music doesn't fit the Folk & Blues or Rock categories, we'd love you to apply for our Busking Competition instead.

AMPLIFY

AMPLIFY (formerly FReeZA) is an innovative youth development program supported by the Victorian Government. It provides opportunities for young Victorians aged 12-25 across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria to enjoy live band gigs, dance parties and other cultural, recreational and artistic events that are drug, alcohol and smoke-free in supervised and safe venues.
